Job Ready

For anyone looking for work: school-leavers, graduates, and people who've been out of work for a while. By the end you'll have a CV you're proud of, a cover letter you can reuse, and a 30-day plan that gets at least 20 strong applications out.

Or get all three courses with Nexa Pro for R99 a month.

What you'll have at the end

  • A clear, honest CV of no more than two pages, saved as a PDF on your phone
  • A cover letter and short email and WhatsApp messages you can adapt for any job
  • A list of the job sites and programmes that fit you, and accounts on the right ones
  • Answers ready for the 10 interview questions you're most likely to be asked
  • An application tracker so you know what you sent, where, and when to follow up
What you need: a smartphone, an email address (we show you how to make a professional one), and photos or scans of your ID and certificates.
Inside the course

The 8 lessons

1. Get your job-hunt kit ready

A professional email address, a phone folder with your ID, matric certificate, qualifications and references, and which documents employers usually ask to have certified.

2. Build your CV with free AI (free lesson)

The exact prompt to use with ChatGPT, Gemini or Meta AI, the South African CV layout employers expect, and how to check what the AI writes so it's true and correct.

3. Turn what you've done into experience

Piece jobs, looking after family, church or community roles, selling, volunteering: how to describe real things you've done as skills, without making anything up.

4. Cover letters and application messages

One cover letter that you change for each job in five minutes, plus short email and WhatsApp messages for when a job ad says "send your CV to…".

5. Where real jobs are posted

SAYouth.mobi (free and zero-rated for ages 18 to 34), the Department of Employment and Labour's ESSA system, the DPSA public service vacancy circular, the YES programme, learnerships, PNet, Careers24, Indeed, LinkedIn and company career pages.

6. Spot a job scam before it costs you

The warning signs: being asked to pay for a job, an interview, "training" or a uniform; jobs offered without an interview; requests for your banking PIN or OTP. What to check, and where to report it.

7. Interview practice you can do alone

Use free AI as a practice interviewer, answer questions with real examples, plan your trip and timing, and know what to ask at the end.

8. Your 30-day plan and tracker

How many applications to send each week, how to follow up politely, what to do after a "no", and how to keep going when it's hard.

Bonus: once your own CV is done, you'll know how to make good CVs for other people. The Phone Hustle course shows you how to charge for it.

The honest part

A better CV and better applications raise your chances of being called. They don't create jobs that aren't there, and nobody can promise you a job, including us. If anyone asks you to pay to get a job, that's a scam, and lesson 6 shows you how to spot it.

What this course does is make sure that when the right job comes up, your application is one of the good ones.
